Sustainability

The studio has been committed the protection of the environment and promotion of sustainable development since its inception in 1992.

We believe that design is an ethical activity and are committed to the use of materials and products and the design of buildings and structures and the development of communities, which are benign to living species and planetary ecology.

The practice endeavours to prevent pollution, reduce waste, encourage recycling, reduce energy consumption, reduce noise and light pollution and reduce the use of non renewable resources through our business decisions and consulting activities.

We believe that the design process should be a stimulating, creative and communal process. Architecture and design should enhance the environment, uplift the human spirit and strengthen the sense of community. Waste should be minimised or eliminated and energy should be used efficiently and come from renewable resources. Material and products used should be safe, non toxic and have long term value.
